Volunteer Opportunities

There are many fun and rewarding ways to get involved at the Senior Center.

Our Volunteer team is a vital key to keeping our programs running smoothly.

Current Volunteer Needs Include:

Meal Delivery Volunteers

• We need 25 volunteers per day to deliver for Meals on Wheels.
• Monday through Thursday from 10:00am – 1:00pm one or more days a week.
• Most “Rural” routes can be delivered in an hour and a half or less.
• Most Sandusky routes can be delivered in an hour or less.
• You must have a valid driver's license and background check to deliver.

Thrift Shop Attendant

• Assist in staffing our small resale shop during morning hours. 

Computer Instructor

• Assist seniors in small groups or one-on-one in computer basics, such as beginning word processing, how to set up and use e-mail, or how to navigate the internet.

Entertainment

• Looking for anyone who has a talent to share (music, magic tricks, etc) for our noon luncheon.

Speakers

• If you've had an interesting experience or trip, or information on a topic that might be of interest to a group of seniors, we'd love to schedule you as a speaker.

Dining Room Attendant

• Needed during our lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays.
• Assist seniors with their lunch trays, dining room activities, and socializing with seniors.
• Roll silverware for use the following lunch day.
